On August 31, 2016 Jean Ibañez Payne, CEO & President at TIVC, presented the Building Workforce Diversity and Inclusion Webinar as part of a Work Development Series sponsored by the American Public Power Association (APPA). Ms. Payne discussed  how to implement a successful, credible, and sustainable employee and diversity program that yields buy-in, commitment, and sustainable results.

Ms. Payne is a Navy Veteran and holds Lean Six Sigma and Change Management Certifications. Before starting TIVC, she spent the vast majority of her career in the utility industry where she developed and implemented a Diversity and Inclusion program for a Fortune 200 utility company of over 14,000 employees. Her work led to the launch of the first Employee Resource Group program in the company’s 100-year history. The program surpassed its initial membership goal by 500% in the first six months.

The webinar was presented by the American Public Power Association (APPA), an organization that represents not-for-profit, community-owned electric utilities that power homes, businesses and illuminate streets in nearly 2,000 towns and cities, serving 48 million Americans.
